The Guinness Book of World Records, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not and General Electric agree the bulb, of unknown wattage, is the longest-living in history, despite two moves and a few power outages during its lifetime

They’re only talking about making the sale of them illegal, just like Australia and the EU. You’d still be able to run your old ones. (Although, with the price of power, you might not want to.)

I wonder how many lumens that thing puts out.

Sam is a moron, read his comment and imagine him on a first date… pretty pathetic
chubsoda is retarded and desperately needs to move out of his parents basement
Kim is high, she’d have to be to think anyone here wanting though provoking conversation… And if Kim is a guy, well, dude you have a girls name.

Making the sale of incandescent lightbulbs illegal is fatuous political pandering. If government’s concern genuinely is the reduction of carbon emissions, the most efficient way to do it would be a direct tax on emissions. I can’t speak for California or Australia, but they’re talking about banning the sale of incandescent lightbulbs in Ontario… a province where the consumer’s electricity bill is subsidised by the government. Does anybody else see the inherent policy contradiction here?

In regards to Bill’s thought-provoking retort, I might add that at least those people you think so lowly of managed to scrape together enough sense to use proper spelling and diction. Bravo sir, bravo.
